NDATS Philosophy for Advocacy
NDATS approach to advocacy is to first give the parents the language and tools to advocate for themselves, This protects the relationship between teacher, school, and parents, If needed, we will accompany families to IEP and 504 meetings. Many times educating the parents on what to ask for solves many of the concerns and does not cause stress in the relationship between families and educational institutions.
Know your rights under IDEA for educational supports.

Thank you, Dr. Abnett for your help and guidance with my son's upcoming IEP meeting! You gave me tools, guidance and confidence to ask for what my son deserves. I highly recommend Jenelle's services if you need an advocate!!

"Dr. Abnett helped me craft a letter to have testing scheduled for my son. At first the school suggested I do the testing outside of the school. With the language she gave me, I got the testing scheduled at no cost to me."
